Global engagement gives students an opportunity to learn about different cultures. It teaches students to accept different people, and to learn to work with different people. Global engagement also helps students get involved in helping the countries that are less fortunate. For instance, students can help with the water problems in the third world countries. Students that get globally engaged can help those countries. Moreover, global engagement would help decrease the number of diseases and deaths because the water is not clean.
In order to become globally engaged, students do not have to go to a different country. They can learn more if they go to a different country for school or a vacation, but if they cannot afford to go, they can still get globally engaged. Being globally engaged benefits students in many ways no matter what they are studying. Anthony Rock said, “Whether you are studying international affairs or nursing or education, business, environment, any discipline will involve global comparison and global engagement. Even if you’re undecided today, you can be assured that global issues will impact you in the future.”

Entrepreneurship and Creativity
Debbi Fields once said, “The important thing is not being afraid to take a chance. Remember, the greatest failure is to not try. Once you find something you love to do, be the best at doing it.” Entrepreneurship requires people to take chances. When someone does something new, they take a chance. By doing something new, people risk getting rejected. If the person succeeds, they feel accomplished, and they are doing something that they love. Many people became successful by taking chances. They all did it by finding something that they love, and they used their creativity to create something new.
Mary Lou Cook said, “Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.” People learn by making mistakes. Moreover, mistakes cause people to think differently and to put more thought into something before doing it. People learn how to improve their ideas by making mistakes.
Dan O’Neill said, “They apply their creativity, their innovation, knowledge, skill and passion and they meet the opportunity by doing what entrepreneurs do particularly well; that’s assembling resources that aren’t under their control and then intelligently managing risks.” Entrepreneurship has a lot of responsibilities. Diversity
Delia Saenz said, “Connecting with people from different backgrounds enriches the college experience.” By accepting people that are different, one goes through new experiences. Going through different experiences makes students learn and grow.
Delia Saenz said, “When we work with others on tasks, like classroom assignments or work projects, we gain the most knowledge when we are receptive to their contributions.” By listening to other’s ideas, students learn to work together and to consider each other’s ideas before saying no. This makes students do better job on the assignment; therefore, the students get a better grade.
Considering other people’s point of view also helps people or students not hurt anybody’s feelings. Diversity helps students learn about people around them and those people’s cultures. ASU Libraries
The ASU libraries are a great resource for students to use when doing research. Not only do the libraries have books, but they also have many different articles about many subjects. When the library does not have a book that a student needs, they get it from another library.
When doing research, most students google the subject that they are looking for. The results on Google can be written by anyone. When a student searches for a subject, most of the time Wikipedia would be one of the results. On Wikipedia, anyone can write about a subject or modify it. Google shows many results that were not written by professionals. Marc Mason said, “As you begin your college career, and begin doing college-level research, your instructors are likely going to begin giving you assignments where you aren’t allowed to use Google or other free resources.”
Henri Frederic Amiel once said, “Everything you need for better future and success has already been written. And guess what? All you have to do is go to the library.” The library has books and articles about every subject that a student is looking for. Without using library resources, a college student would most likely fail since some of the professors require students to use library resources. Moreover, library resources make a student’s paper more convincing.

Academic Integrity
It is important to be honest when doing assignments and taking tests. When a student doesn’t follow academic integrity, not only is it not fair to other students, but it also has consequences.
When a student cheats, it is not fair to the students that studied for the test. Even though other students won’t know that one student cheated, it still would not be fair. Oprah Winfrey once said, “Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody’s going to know whether you did it or not.”
The consequences for academic integrity range from getting a zero on the assignment to getting kicked out of ASU. Joe Bunker said, “Keep in mind that there may be both short and long-term consequences for academic dishonesty at Arizona State University.” When a student gets caught cheating, the consequence can be short such as getting a zero on the assignment because that would last only one semester. If the professor turns the student in for cheating, the consequence will probably be long term. The student will get an XE on the transcript, and the student can get kicked out of ASU. Leslie Shell said, “While you are in college a designation of XE would keep you from participating in extracurricular activities like student clubs.”
Even though violating academic integrity may be unfair to other students, ASU should use smaller consequences in some instances.
